From the outset, you will be an integral part of a market-leading team, fostering a diverse environment that integrates varied expertise and perspectives. You will collaborate with international colleagues to provide diverse analytical solutions to a broad spectrum of clients, from leading UK financial institutions to emerging FinTech companies.

Candidates will combine strong project management capability with hands-on experience in Python, Tableau and data quality testing, enabling them to anticipate complex business challenges and recommend practical, high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility will be running data quality assurance engagements for a portfolio of Audit & Assurance clients. This will involve managing small teams to understand and test clients' data environments, execute tests based on Deloitte's existing framework, and produce clear Tableau dashboards and visualisations.
  • Lead the project management of engagements, including scoping, planning, budgeting, supervising junior team members, managing risks and issues, ensuring accountability for deliverables and timelines, and leading client interactions and stakeholder management.
  • Integrate with the senior leadership of the team to contribute to and communicate the strategic direction to the wider team.
  • Manage teams within the group, including developing the skills and confidence of junior staff, acting as a role model to inspire and mentor team members.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on data assurance and analytical tools, particularly Python and Tableau, with working knowledge of SQL.
  • Lead teams in applying these tools to test data quality, automate analytics, build dashboards and deliver meaningful insights that help clients understand their business risks and key drivers.
  • Work with audit teams to integrate analytics more deeply into the external audit approach, and with our clients to embed analytics into their business processes and culture.
  • Develop and deliver new and innovative analytics tools to support evolving audit and regulatory requirements within the changing financial services environment.
  • Contribute to the team's and Deloitte's thought leadership and strategy in Audit & Assurance analytics, including internal presentations, external bids, and volunteering to promote internal initiatives.
  • Work effectively within diverse teams in an inclusive team culture where individual contributions are recognised.
  • Build and develop long-term relationships with stakeholders across our client organisations.

Essential

  • Bachelor's degree, advanced degree, or equivalent in a quantitative field such as mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science, accounting, finance, or engineering.
  • Experience working in an analytics or modelling team within the financial services industry, either within a professional services firm or a FTSE 350 company.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Data Assurance, analytics or audit technology engagements, including leading multiple teams in a dynamic environment to meet reporting deadlines and manage senior stakeholders.
  • A meticulous attention to detail, coupled with a structured and thorough approach to delivering high-quality output, including experience in code, output, and documentation review.
  • Advanced technical experience with Python, including the ability to review code, automate data quality tests and explain technical outputs to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience developing Tableau dashboards or visualisations to communicate quality findings, risks and insights.
  • Exposure to one or more financial asset classes, banking products or regulatory data domains, such as derivatives, loans, mortgages, capital, liquidity or risk reporting.
  • Proven ability to build and develop strong client relationships.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Desirable

  • Holding or working towards a professional qualification (e.g. CQF, FRM, CFA, ACA, CIMA);
  • Strong understanding of the regulatory environment and an understanding of data quality frameworks such as BCBS239.
  • Experience with SQL and data quality frameworks, including BCBS 239 or equivalent data governance and control frameworks.
