Deloitte's dynamic and innovative internal audit team provides clients with expert advice on some of the most challenging and complex engagements across a wide range of clients from all industry sectors. Due to recent marketplace successes, we are looking to recruit experienced candidates with a proven track record in supporting the delivery of internal audit services across the UK. Our clients include, but are not limited to, organisations across the following sectors: Consumer, Pharmaceutical, Energy & Resources, Manufacturing, Technology, Media & Telecoms and the Public Sector.

As part of our successful team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the practice's strategic direction, driving significant revenue growth, and developing our next generation of leaders.

As a Director, you will be instrumental in leading and shaping the firm's Programme and Transformation Risk services, driving strategic initiatives, and expanding our market presence. You will oversee a portfolio of complex engagements, including advisory, short-term secondments, and co-sourced and outsourced delivery, providing executive-level expertise in areas such as portfolio and programme management, programme risk management, programme assurance, governance, and capability development.

You will cultivate and expand executive-level client relationships, lead significant business development efforts, drive substantial revenue generation, and champion eminence activities, collaborating strategically with colleagues across Deloitte member firms and the broader global network.

Skills and Professional Experience:

  • A graduate degree, minimum 2:1, or relevant professional qualification (e.g., Managing Successful Programmes, PRINCE2, AgilePM, PMP, or equivalent); advanced degrees or executive education are highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in leading large-scale, complex transformation portfolios and programmes within large corporate or public sector organisations, with a proven track record of successful delivery at an executive level.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project delivery, portfolio management, and establishing/enhancing enterprise PMO functions, project control processes, and programme assurance - across Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills, including oral/written communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing at the highest levels.
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and empower high-performing teams, fostering talent development and a culture of excellence.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with a demonstrated ability to identify, pursue, and secure significant business opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and analytical, with strong strategic thinking, organisational, planning, and coaching skills.
  • Capable of working on own initiative, providing data-driven insights, and fostering a collaborative culture of continuous improvement and accountability within diverse teams.
