You will be joining a dynamic and market leading, client facing team helping our clients to meet their UK VAT Compliance obligations in a fast paced environment. We deliver to tight and regular deadlines and support our clients through the changing requirements brought in through Making Tax Digital.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive individual to join our UK VAT Compliance outsource team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our VAT compliance services, supporting our clients and internal teams. The successful candidate will play a key operational role, managing various administrative and client-facing tasks to maintain high standards of service delivery.

  • Maintain comprehensive oversight of monthly outsourced VAT obligations, utilising current tracking systems (Excel) and transitioning to new platforms (Intela).
  • Proactively chase outstanding information and actions from internal teams and clients to ensure timely compliance.
  • Provide regular and accurate status updates on VAT compliance activities to stakeholders.
  • Access and update clients' HMRC online VAT accounts as required.
  • Liaise with HMRC by phone to resolve VAT-related enquiries and issues.
  • Manage the distribution of information requests to clients, ensuring all necessary data is collected.
  • Assist with the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a seamless transition.
  • Support the submission of new VAT registrations for clients.
  • Maintain and manage the central UK VAT compliance Deloitte email mailbox, responding to or redirecting queries efficiently.
