We are seeking to hire AI & Data Architects to join our Strategy, Governance and Architecture (SG&A) team within our Artificial Intelligence & Data (AI&D) offering at Deloitte. A well-designed data solution architecture sits at the core of our clients' strategy to enable the effective deployment of advanced analytics and AI models to gain competitive advantage in their respective industries and deliver better products and services to their customers.

Your role

We are looking for consultants in their early careers to work with clients and other Deloitte teams across both advisory and delivery capacities, delivering large and complex initiatives across multiple functional groups in a high-demand environment. You are an exceptional communicator, able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders with ease. You have a strong ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environment, leveraging the strengths of others to achieve common goals. You are outcome focused and have a desire to be pragmatic in your approach to designing and delivering high-quality solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.

In this role, you may be expected to:

  • Work with senior architect(s) in defining and designing end-to-end architectures for AI & data solutions that will shape our clients' future, support their business needs and strategic objectives.
  • Develop solution proof of concepts to prove the business value of proposed AI and data solutions.
  • Work with client stakeholders to define a 'common language for data', so that data across the organisation can be interpreted and used consistently and efficiently for required purposes.
  • Contribute to assessing the as-is solution and suggesting target solution architectures leveraging your expertise in Data & AI/Analytics tools and Cloud technologies.
  • Support the creation of strategic roadmaps for Data & AI capabilities required to support the clients' AI ambition.
  • Contribute to client project delivery by owning one or more deliverable(s) and ensuring commercially successful conclusion of the client engagements.
  • Work with on-shore and off-shore development teams, potentially managing their workloads, facilitating communication, and ensuring alignment to meet project deadlines within an Agile environment.
  • Continue to develop architecture skills through 'on the job' training and formal development programmes.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate skills and experience in some of the following:

  • Essential Experience in analysing requirements for data solution design and data modelling (e.g. from conceptual to physical).
  • Experience in data manipulation, analysis and reporting of insights from large datasets using tools such as SQL, Python or R.
  • Good understanding of key components of an end-to-end data solution, including data quality, master data management, reference data, reporting and visualisation, AI, analytics and self-service business intelligence.
  • Ability to work independently, think strategically and solve problems, identify opportunities for innovation and growth while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Exceptional time management skills to manage competing priorities, across client service, practice development, and business development responsibilities.
  • Business Analysis skills and experience such as requirements definition, information gathering, discovery and/or specification development.
  • Manage stakeholders using clear communications and be able to form strong client relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and potentially manage workloads of on-shore and off-shore development teams, ensuring alignment and timely delivery of high-quality AI and data solutions.

Desirable

  • Experience in data solution architecture and data management framework e.g. establishing design principles, defining solution patterns while following architecture methodologies.
  • Experience and/or certifications in Cloud data platform solutions (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake, Databricks) to design and deliver enterprise data solutions including toolset selection, effort and cost estimation.
  • Broad knowledge across Cloud architecture, DevOps, Networking, Machine Learning, and Security.
  • Experience and knowledge of delivering innovative enterprise data management frameworks e.g. Data Mesh, Data Vault.
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of Data/Information Governance principles and familiarity with processes, policies for any of the key vendor platforms such as Collibra and Informatica.
  • Experience with Management Information/BI Reporting delivery processes.
