We are seeking talented and experienced AI governance lead to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead the delivery of AI governance projects from conception to production. You will be working with Financial Services clients who are navigating an evolving marketplace where AI governance is a key foundational pillar of their organizational strategy, enabling them to unlock their full potential for innovation whilst maintaining ethical standards and regulatory compliance.
In this role, you may be expected to:
- Define the vision, objectives, and strategic approach for AI governance in an organisation.
- Design the foundational policies, principles and standards required to implement the strategy.
- Flexibly work with our clients across both advisory and delivery in the AI governance space, enabling them to leverage trustworthy AI for strategic decision-making and operational excellence.
- Advise clients on the strategic 'why', 'what', and 'how' of establishing robust AI governance to ensure quality, compliance, and trustworthiness for business objectives.
- Present and communicate to people unfamiliar with the use of AI in decision-making about the advantages and caveats of proposals and solutions.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of organisational structures and operating models that embed AI governance best practices.
- Engage directly with senior client stakeholders and internal leadership teams to shape, define, and deliver AI governance strategies aligned with business goals.
- Stay at the forefront of AI governance industry trends, actively maintaining an awareness of the latest tooling solutions and trade association certifications.
- Support the development of compelling AI governance proposals, articulating value propositions and securing new engagements through expert client presentations and strategic solution design.
- Maintain a close understanding of the latest AI technologies, trends and best practices to address the unique governance challenges and opportunities presented by advances in AI.
We are seeking consultants with a passion for AI governance who have experience working in one or more sub sectors (e.g. Banking, Insurance, Asset Management) within Finance Services. This could be professional services or industry experience across one or many functional domains. We are looking for candidates who are able to demonstrate skills and experience in some of the following:
- A clear understanding of key AI governance principles and their practical application in a Financial Services environment.
- Familiarity with regulatory / statutory requirements impacting AI governance (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, etc.).
- Professional certifications in ISO42001, AIGP, etc. are desirable.
- Involvement in designing or reviewing AI governance frameworks and control sets aligned to recognised standards (e.g. EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001).
- Experience leading risk-based initiatives regarding agentic AI, genAI, data analytics or model risk, covering the AI lifecycle and including risk assessments, model monitoring, safety measures and real time risk management.
- Translating UK/EU regulatory expectations into practical operating controls, assurance approaches and evidence packs.
- Strong executive presence and stakeholder management experience, and adept at independently leading and influencing high-level discussions with C-suite clients and complex cross-functional teams.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and capacity to work effectively within and leading a team.
- Understand expectations and demonstrate personal accountability for keeping performance on track.
- Actively focus on developing effective communication and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including in English (Proficiency).
