We are looking to appoint a Manager or Associate Director to join our London International Corporate Tax Compliance team, responsible for delivering high‑quality UK corporate tax compliance services to a diverse portfolio of foreign‑owned multinational clients. The role offers a hybrid working model, working collaboratively with colleagues and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and reviewing UK corporation tax compliance engagements for multinational groups, including reviewing returns and computations, ensuring specialist claims and elections are appropriately reflected, overseeing tax provisioning, assisting with payment obligations, and maintaining information workflows.
- Acting as the primary day‑to‑day client contact, developing trusted relationships with tax, finance and other senior stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance work is delivered to a high technical standard, on time and in line with Deloitte’s quality and risk management processes.
- Preparation and review of Pillar 2 compliance deliverables.
- Leading engagement teams, including collaboration with offshore delivery centres, coaching and developing junior team members, and contributing to a collaborative, inclusive team culture.
- Contributing to business development activity, including proposals, client meetings and relationship building; at the Associate Director level, taking a more active role in account ownership, client strategy and revenue growth.
- Keeping up to date with developments in UK corporate tax legislation and HMRC practice.
Qualifications
- Strong UK corporate tax compliance experience gained in professional practice or in‑house.
- Experience managing corporate tax compliance engagements and working with multiple stakeholders.
- Good understanding of UK corporation tax legislation, HMRC processes and compliance risk.
- Experience of tax accounting and reporting under UK GAAP and/or IFRS is desirable.
- Some familiarity with Pillar 2 compliance processes and outputs.
- CTA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification (or international equivalent).
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Ability to communicate complex tax issues clearly and pragmatically.
- Commercially aware, with a client‑focused and collaborative mindset.
- Excellent team leader, capable of managing and developing teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced and evolving regulatory environment.
