Our Real Assets Tax Compliance Team at Deloitte is looking for a manager to deliver tax compliance and reporting for real asset investors across the UK, working closely with partners, directors and associate directors. The role involves building trusted client relationships, providing technical expertise, and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Real Assets investors to comply with UK direct tax obligations efficiently and timely.
  • Advise clients on the impact of recent legislative changes related to Real Assets.
  • Respond to UK tax enquiries from HMRC.
  • Support the transformation of the annual tax process through process improvement, technology deployment, risk management, and organisational design.
  • Plan and manage the implementation of identified technology solutions.
  • Work effectively both independently and with colleagues to deliver these solutions and develop the team.
  • Manage client accounts and ensure effective delivery of services.

Essential qualifications

  • Knowledge of typical regulated and alternative fund structures and their general taxation.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients and projects simultaneously, including supervising junior staff.
  • Strong team collaboration skills and a drive to invest in the development of junior members.
  • Ability to work closely with clients, applying practical and commercial concepts to technical work.
  • Experience coordinating input from international and cross‑service line teams.
  • Capable of learning new tax concepts and applying them within time constraints.
  • Strong communication and written skills.
  • Motivation to advance a career in financial services and willingness to be challenged.

Desirable qualifications

  • ACA or CTA qualification (or equivalent) desirable but not required.
