Our Infrastructure and Capital Projects team (I&CP) provides market-leading commercial and financial advice to the public and private sectors. We are expanding our presence across the Defence and National Security market with a focus on servicing private sector clients. This role offers an opportunity for the right individual to lead and drive business growth and delivery of high-impact projects in this area.
As a Manager, you will manage delivery of advisory projects for Defence and National Security clients, work closely with senior team members, support business development, and develop junior team members.
Responsibilities- Managing the day-to-day delivery of advisory projects, providing commercial, financial and funding advice to Defence and National Security clients.
- Supporting the development of client relationships, acting as a key point of contact and building trust with stakeholders.
- Assisting with the preparation of research, proposals and presentations to support business development in the Defence and Security sector.
- Managing project workstreams or smaller engagements, ensuring high-quality deliverables and effective project management.
- Providing guidance and support to junior team members, contributing to their development and the overall success of the team.
- Experience working in the Defence and National Security sector, either with a consultancy, Tier 1 Defence company (or supplier to) or within government.
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders in the Defence and National Security sector.
- Strong interest in the key issues (financial, commercial, regulatory) impacting UK Defence.
- Understanding of the financial and commercial aspects of government and private sector infrastructure, technology and/or service contracts.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience managing project workstreams and supporting the delivery of client engagements.
- Experience working with financial models or conducting financial analysis.
- A recognised procurement, accountancy or financial qualification (full or part-qualified).
- Experience in business case development and report writing for Defence and National Security projects.
- Understanding of Defence supply chain operations and experience supporting projects focused on supply chain analysis, improvement, or supplier management within the sector.
