As a Technical Business Analyst, you will act as the bridge between business needs and technical delivery for modern AI & Data driven solutions. You will work closely with clients, architects, and development teams to translate requirements into clear, implementable technical solutions that align with business goals and technical constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Working with business and technical stakeholders to develop strategies and governance to drive value from data using modern analytics and AI techniques.
  • Elicit, analyse, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Translate needs into technical specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Work with architects and developers to design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
  • Contribute to design discussions, assess feasibility, and identify risks and dependencies, including adoption or responsible AI frameworks.
  • Produce and maintain high-quality artefacts including functional/technical specifications, process flows, data models, and interface definitions.
  • Act as a key liaison between business and technical stakeholders, communicating complex technical concepts clearly and managing expectations.
  • Analyse data structures, mappings, and system interactions to support integrations, reporting, and solution design.
  • Define and support test scenarios and acceptance criteria, supporting UAT and defect resolution.
  • Investigate technical issues, work with delivery teams to identify root causes, and support sustainable solutions.

Technical requirements

  • Proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role.
  • Strong experience gathering, analysing, and documenting technical and functional requirements.
  • Awareness and interest in modern data analytics and AI technologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with delivery teams in Agile environments.
  • Exposure to system integrations, data flows, and enterprise platforms.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, modelling tools (UML/BPMN), and data or reporting tools (e.g. SQL) is desirable.

Appointment to this role is subject to the candidate being eligible for and successfully obtaining UK Security Check (SC) security clearance.
