We are seeking committed new talent to join our highly skilled and diverse Data and AI team, with a focus on our clients in the Banking sector. Our goal is to work together with our clients to drive innovation and insight from their data, using cutting edge technology.
Responsibilities
- Supporting clients and Deloitte AI leads in translating a vision into an AI architecture strategy, roadmap and transition states.
- Taking ownership of solution designs and technical decisions, working closely with AI Engineers, Process Designers, Business teams, Infosec specialists, and other Architects.
- Experience in assessing appropriate technologies from a pool of open-source and commercial offerings, considering deployment models and integration with existing tools.
- Supporting the successful execution and operational improvement of AI-powered applications using agile methodology.
- Working with security and risk leaders to foresee and mitigate AI risks, ensuring ethical AI implementation and regulatory compliance.
- Owning the preparation for technical review boards and design authorities and working with Deloitte experts to ensure compliance with data privacy, security and regulatory requirements.
- Building strong working relationships with our clients and providing technical advice on AI platform strategy and capabilities.
- Producing technical project proposals and estimating the delivery effort and risks.
- Contributing to our internal AI technical training pathways and mentoring junior Deloitte colleagues.
- Supporting presales conversations with clients and working on business case documents for AI implementations.
- Identifying and communicating technology trends and their impact.
- Publishing technical whitepapers and thought leadership material.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in architecture-related disciplines.
- Demonstrate experience across the Financial Services industry, with a primary focus on the Banking sector.
- Have a good understanding of how to architect scalable, performant and cost‑optimised AI solutions across a mix of serverless technologies, containerised deployments, and GPU‑hosted workloads.
- This includes technical decision‑making on different patterns and trade‑offs.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of modern data architectures, including how to manage structured and semi‑structured data, and strategies to curate high‑quality datasets to power agentic AI workloads.
- Have strong working knowledge of AI fundamentals (prompt engineering, fine‑tuning, embeddings, semantic search and RAG), and a solid understanding of vector databases (e.g. Pinecone), agent frameworks (e.g. LangChain, LangGraph, Agent Development Kit), and protocols (e.g. MCP, A2A).
- Knowledge of deploying and hosting open‑source Foundational Models (e.g. Llama or Mistral) is considered a plus.
- Have a strong understanding of MLOps/LLMOps fundamentals – the capabilities, tooling and frameworks required to train, test, monitor and improve model lifecycles, and the common evaluation metrics for an agentic solution.
- Demonstrate senior stakeholder management skills, exceptional communication and presentation skills, and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
