You will work with senior client stakeholders and delivery teams, collaborate with colleagues across the firm to bring the right expertise to solve complex transport challenges, and play an active role in business development and market‑making.

Your role includes leading multi‑disciplinary teams to shape and deliver AI, data and analytics engagements for transport clients. Your responsibilities include strong delivery leadership, commercial acumen, and building rapport and trust with senior stakeholders.

  • Engage daily with senior client stakeholders (e.g., Programme Directors, CIO/CTO, Heads of Operations and Data) to build rapport, shape direction, manage expectations and secure successful outcomes.
  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of AI & data workstreams and programmes – defining delivery approach, governance and plans, and ensuring delivery excellence to time, cost and quality.
  • Manage and develop teams of 5+ FTEs (and broader blended teams), creating an inclusive, high‑performance culture and coaching others.
  • Bring a multi‑disciplinary approach to solving client problems – working across Deloitte business units as needed to mobilise the right expertise.
  • Drive business development and market‑making: contribute to propositions, respond to proposals/RFPs, shape scope and commercials, and manage engagement drivers and profitability.

Qualifications include:

  • Experience working in or consulting to the transportation industry (road, rail or aviation), with a strong understanding of sector drivers and operational realities.
  • Strong track record leading complex AI, data, analytics or digital transformation initiatives from shaping through delivery, with robust governance and stakeholder management.
  • Proven experience engaging senior stakeholders daily – building trust and rapport, influencing decisions, managing risks/issues and communicating clearly across business and technology audiences.
  • People leadership experience managing teams of 5+ FTEs and broader blended teams, with evidence of coaching, talent development and building high‑performing teams.
  • Demonstrated contribution to business development – shaping propositions, supporting or leading bids/RFP responses, and applying commercial awareness to drive delivery outcomes and project profitability.
  • Relevant certifications are desirable (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, Scrum Master, PMI‑ACP, SAFe).
  • Working knowledge of AI technologies and approaches is desirable (e.g., Machine Learning, Large Language Models, Cloud Technologies, Generative AI).

Technical & Delivery Proficiency:

  • Experience leading the end‑to‑end design and delivery of production‑grade AI/ML and/or Generative AI solutions, from discovery and prototype through to deployment and adoption.
  • Strong understanding of modern AI/ML and GenAI concepts (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG patterns, evaluation) – able to guide technical teams and make pragmatic architecture decisions.
  • Working knowledge of data platforms and engineering (e.g., cloud data services, data pipelines, integration, SQL) and how these enable analytics and AI products.
  • Experience establishing governance, risk management, security practices and ethical AI guardrails across the delivery lifecycle.
  • Broad experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/GenAI services; cloud‑agnostic experience is preferred.
  • Good grasp of MLOps/LLMOps practices (e.g., CI/CD, model/LLM monitoring, controls and auditability) and embedding them in client delivery.
  • Familiarity with large‑scale data processing and storage technologies (e.g., SQL, Spark).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
