Overview
Deloitte's market‑leading Indirect Tax practice has grown rapidly, and our Indirect Tax Compliance & Technology team is looking to expand further. The team supports some of the world's largest organisations with global indirect tax compliance management and technology‑enabled delivery across industries such as Financial Services, Real Estate, Public Sector, Consumer Business, Energy, Technology, Media, and Telecommunications.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify indirect tax compliance risks and opportunities, and recommend technology‑enabled solutions and alternative delivery models.
- Support engagement planning, budget modelling, and administrative management.
- Contribute to engagement rollout, including implementation planning and technology deployment.
- Manage engagement milestones and coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure high‑quality delivery.
- Support business development activity, including proposals and client relationship management.
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders, building effective working relationships.
- Work collaboratively within diverse teams and contribute to an inclusive team culture.
Qualifications
- Experience in VAT gained in practice, industry, or HMRC.
- Good understanding of UK VAT legislation and relevant case law.
- ATT or CTA qualified, or working towards an equivalent qualification (preferred).
- Strong written communication and technical drafting skills.
- Strong client‑facing and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to work proactively, identify opportunities, and take ownership of deliverables.
- Ability to work effectively with peers and senior stakeholders, including Associate Directors, Directors, and Partners.
- Experience working across multiple stakeholders, projects, or jurisdictions is advantageous.
