Our Future Prison Leaders Programme selects people with the potential to progress quickly into a senior role in the Prison Service.

Apply for this three-year leadership pathway, and we'll assess you for the senior-level role we believe you could achieve. It's a competitive process, but if we select you, you'll start your career as a prison officer and could be a senior manager by the end of the programme.
Combining focused leadership development with hands‑on operational experience and guidance from experienced prison leaders, you'll receive all the support, encouragement and training you'll need to succeed.
