The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 Β£ per year.

This role is based in Gravesend, with full and part-time options available. There is a fixed base location with an expectation to travel as operational delivery requires to other offices within the North Kent region. A travel allowance will be provided at the relevant financial year rate and terms of contract.

The role requires a flexible approach with start times from 7:00 AM and finish times of 4:45 PM, including weekend shifts. A typical full-time 37-hour week will consist of 4 days at 9.25 hours per day, including at least one weekend day.

Candidates must hold a full UK Manual Driving Licence, as this is a mandatory requirement for the role. Automatic Driving Licences are not accepted.

Overview Of The Job

This is an operational role directly supervising work groups of offenders serving a community sentence. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting Pre-Placement Unpaid Work Induction sessions.
  • Conducting daily 'tool box' talks to ensure service users understand tasks and safe working practices.
  • Following work directions within the project placement file.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed and associated paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
  • Ensuring appropriate tools, equipment, and supplies are available and used safely by service users.
  • Conducting dynamic risk assessments to manage hazards.
  • Using motivational techniques to ensure service users complete assigned work in a disciplined manner.
  • Monitoring attendance of service users and promoting successful completions.
  • Maintaining service users' records in accordance with organisational requirements.
  • Working towards accreditation as a workplace assessor or delivering training assessments for selected service users.
  • Promoting Community Payback with colleagues, external agencies, Sentencers, and the public.
