Overview of the role

Programme Facilitators deliver Accredited Programmes and Structured Interventions to support people on probation to desist from crime and build pro‑social lives. The role is evening‑based, involves group and 1:1 work, requires travel across the East Midlands Region and working unsocial hours.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver interventions to people on probation, building a therapeutic and safe working environment in line with operational manuals.
  • Adhere to statutory safeguarding responsibilities for children and adults, managing all risks of serious harm.
  • Manage group dynamics, addressing problematic behaviour to achieve learning outcomes.
  • Monitor risk, safety and wellbeing, making evidence‑based recommendations throughout the intervention.
  • Record attendance, risk issues and reports accurately to meet quality assurance requirements.
  • Liaise with Probation Practitioners and external stakeholders to communicate progress and concerns.
  • Deliver workshops and briefings to Probation staff and external stakeholders on interventions.
  • Model pro‑social behaviour and challenge anti‑social attitudes consistently.
  • Participate in regular video monitoring feedback sessions to audit standards, review practice and implement professional development.
