Responsibilities
- Safeguard the public and maintain the safety of the prison, offenders and staff.
- Work across various shifts, including weekends.
- Build constructive, positive and professional relationships with offenders in challenging situations.
- Collaborate with colleagues as part of a single team to keep the environment secure.
- Adapt to different roles each day, such as peace‑keeper, counsellor or teacher.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications are not specified, but successful candidates will have integrity, strong character, self‑confidence and excellent communication skills. Experience from diverse backgrounds such as teaching, retail, armed forces or parenting is valued.
