Key Responsibilities
- Protect the public and maintain the safety of the prison.
- Build constructive, positive and professional relationships with offenders who could be at the lowest point in their lives.
- Support colleagues, acting as one team to keep the prison, offenders and everyone working here safe.
- Carry out a variety of roles in a single day – from peace‑keeper to counsellor or teacher.
- Work various shifts, including weekends.
