HM Land Registry (HMLR) is launching a five-year transformation programme that will modernise core services, build new data and analytics capabilities and deliver user-centred digital solutions used across the country. As a Product Manager, you will help shape services of national importance within a supportive, mature product community where your skills will directly impact how citizens and professionals access vital land and property information.
Salary £52,978 (£57,528 London pay band) plus 29% pension contribution and other Civil Service benefits. Flexible, hybrid working from 12 HMLR office locations.
Responsibilities
- Take a lead role in supporting the delivery, on-going success and continuous improvement of HM Land Registry’s existing and future services.
- Create, own and share product roadmaps which align to wider programmes and strategies.
- Translate user insight and market trends into product decisions, using feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Actively share your knowledge and experience of development methodology, leadership and delivery to develop others and work within the ‘product’ community of practice.
Essential skills
- Application of Product Management skills within an Agile environment
- Knowledge of Lean Practices
- Making user driven changes to an existing product or service
- Challenging the as-is, influencing senior colleagues and changing practice, policy or legislation to enable delivery
- Ability to create and nurture good working relationships outside your own Directorate
- Can identify a problem, analyse data and information and find a way forward.
- The ability to see and communicate strategic visions and goals to a wide range of stakeholders.
- User-centred design
- Experience as a technical Product Manager role inc. APIs
- A recognised product qualification
- Developing a roadmap for a service in line with the Digital Service Standard
- Good understanding of risk management and impact assessment requirements.
- Composing business cases and knowledge of the HMLR approvals process
Location
Expectation is to be working from one of HMLR\’s offices 60% of your time across the month (typically 3 days/week). Hours are flexible and condensed hours are an option.
Available office locations: Plymouth, Croydon, Birkenhead, Hull, Leicester, Coventry, Weymouth, Telford, Gloucester, Swansea, Fylde and Durham.
