About You

Led by example with a resilient and positive approach, you thrive on delivering effective and efficient services and enjoy working with a variety of stakeholders. You coach and develop your team to set local priorities and objectives that align with National/Regional and Area strategies and plans. You work collaboratively with other Operations Managers in the region to manage conflicting demands on the business and are able to reprioritise local and regional goals where required.

About Your Role

Gloucester Civil and Family Courts, Gloucester Crown and Cheltenham Magistrates sits within HMCTS South West region; you are responsible for the strategic oversight of Civil and Family, Crown and Magistrates Courts, supporting your Deputy Head of Operations to meet operational needs and deliver regional performance objectives. You will be at the forefront of organisational change, making a real difference in how service is delivered, working in a supportive environment with a focus on continuous improvement. Leading a team of two Delivery Managers to provide a consistent and customer-focused service, you will drive a collaborative culture across the region, ensure effective deployment of resources and manage an allocated budget to control delegated expenditure, ensuring efficiencies are made.

  • Proven experience in a senior operations or management role, preferably within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading teams through change.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to maintain relationships at all levels.

Further Details

These operational roles are customer facing, requiring successful applicants to be office based to provide HMCTS services to the public. Standard full-time working hours are 37 hours per week. The MoJ welcomes part-time, flexible and job-sharing working patterns, provided they meet the demands of the role and business needs and are agreed prior to appointment.
