We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist / Recent Ph.D Graduate with a background in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have experience in spatial transcriptomics and proteomics, particularly using FFPE tissue samples, and a strong background in 10X Genomics library preparation for NGS.
You’ll work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, driving the development and optimization of cutting-edge spatial omics workflows in support of translational research and clinical discovery.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, execute, and troubleshoot experiments using 10X Genomics Visium and related platforms for spatial transcriptomics.
- Process and analyze FFPE and fresh frozen tissue samples for transcriptomic and proteomic profiling.
- Prepare high-quality NGS libraries for Illumina sequencing, ensuring data integrity and reproducibility.
- Optimize protocols and workflows for challenging tissues (e.g., fibrotic, adipose, cartilage, bone).
- Collaborate with bioinformaticians, pathologists, and clinical researchers to interpret spatial omics data.
- Maintain accurate records, contribute to publications, and present findings at internal and external meetings.
- Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology, or related discipline with a focus on spatial transcriptomics or proteomics.
- Proven experience handling FFPE tissues for transcriptomic and protein-based methods.
- Expertise in 10X Genomics library preparation and workflows for NGS (e.g., Chromium, Visium).
- Familiarity with Illumina sequencing platforms and general NGS QC metrics.
- Experience working with difficult tissue types such as fibrotic, adipose, cartilage, or bone.
- Hands-on experience in single-cell technologies (e.g., scRNA-seq, CITE-seq) is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of tissue processing, histology, and immunostaining techniques.
