We are supporting an early-stage biotech focused on CNS/neurology in the search for a Clinical Research Consultant to support early-phase clinical programmes. This is a contract opportunity suited to an experienced consultant with a strong background in neurology studies and experience operating within small, start-up biotech environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of early-phase (Phase I/II) clinical trials in CNS indications, including Parkinson’s disease and ALS
  • Provide operational input into study design, feasibility, and protocol development
  • Support early clinical development activities including site identification, feasibility, and study start-up
  • Work closely with CROs and vendors to ensure effective study delivery in a lean environment
  • Monitor study progress, identify risks, and support mitigation strategies
  • Act as a key point of contact across cross-functional teams (clinical, regulatory, biometrics)
  • Ensure studies are conducted in line with ICH-GCP and regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to building clinical operations processes as the company scales

Requirements

  • Proven experience in early-phase clinical trials (Phase I/II), ideally within CNS/neurology
  • Direct experience across Parkinson’s and/or ALS studies (essential)
  • Experience working within small or start-up biotech environments (essential)
  • Strong understanding of early clinical development and study execution
  • Experience working with CROs and external vendors
  • Ability to operate independently in a lean, fast-paced environment
