Contract Opportunity – Pediatric Neuropsychologist / Central Rater (UK)
I’m currently supporting a long-term pediatric gene therapy programme seeking an experienced Pediatric Neuropsychologist / Clinical Psychologist to act as the UK Central Rater across sites in London and Glasgow. This is a highly specialist consultancy opportunity supporting neurocognitive endpoints within a rare pediatric epilepsy study.
- UK-based Site coverage across GOSH London & Glasgow
- Long-term programme (~5 years)
- Consultant / contract engagement
- Estimated up to 1FTE commitment
- Travel expenses covered
The role will focus on the delivery and standardisation of neurocognitive assessments across study participants, helping ensure high-quality, consistent endpoint evaluation throughout the programme.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing pediatric neurocognitive assessments
- Acting as the UK central rater across participating sites
- Supporting assessment standardisation and rating consistency
- Coordinating directly with sites regarding scheduling and assessment delivery
- Participating in sponsor onboarding/training activities
- Supporting both in-person and remote assessments where appropriate
- Completing required assessment recording/documentation activities
Assessment experience of strong interest includes:
- Bayley-4
- Vineland-3
- Stanford-Binet-5
Ideal background:
- Qualified Pediatric Neuropsychologist or Clinical Psychologist
- Strong experience conducting neurocognitive assessments in children
- NHS pediatric neurology / neurodevelopment / epilepsy exposure strongly preferred
- Prior clinical research or clinical trial exposure advantageous
- Gene therapy, rare disease, neurology, or epilepsy experience beneficial
- Comfortable operating within protocol-driven environments
