We are supporting an early-stage biotech focused on CNS/neurology in the search for a Clinical Research Consultant to support early-phase clinical programmes. This is a contract opportunity suited to an experienced consultant with a strong background in neurology studies and experience operating within small, start-up biotech environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and execution of early-phase (Phase I/II) clinical trials in CNS indications, including Parkinson’s disease and ALS
- Provide operational input into study design, feasibility, and protocol development
- Support early clinical development activities including site identification, feasibility, and study start-up
- Work closely with CROs and vendors to ensure effective study delivery in a lean environment
- Monitor study progress, identify risks, and support mitigation strategies
- Act as a key point of contact across cross-functional teams (clinical, regulatory, biometrics)
- Ensure studies are conducted in line with ICH-GCP and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to building clinical operations processes as the company scales
Requirements
- Proven experience in early-phase clinical trials (Phase I/II), ideally within CNS/neurology
- Direct experience across Parkinson’s and/or ALS studies (essential)
- Experience working within small or start-up biotech environments (essential)
- Strong understanding of early clinical development and study execution
- Experience working with CROs and external vendors
- Ability to operate independently in a lean, fast-paced environment
