About the Role: We’re building AI systems that can reason through biology and accelerate drug discovery. As part of our Turing team, you’ll develop LLM- and agent-based tools that help scientists explore data, generate hypotheses, and make better decisions — faster. This is not a typical data science role. It’s about turning cutting-edge AI into real scientific impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and deploy LLM-powered systems (RAG, agents, workflows) for scientific use
  • Design tools that support ML scientists and researchers in their day-to-day work
  • Work with large, messy biomedical datasets (omics, literature, clinical data)
  • Create multi-step AI workflows that automate research and reasoning
  • Develop evaluation frameworks to ensure models are accurate and reliable
  • Collaborate closely with ML engineers, data scientists, and biologists

Requirements:

Core:

  • Experience building with LLMs (GPT-style models, RAG, agents, tooling)
  • Strong Python + data/ML engineering skills
  • Experience working with real-world data systems (not just notebooks)
  • Ability to build tools that support other technical users

Bonus:

  • Experience in biotech, healthcare, or scientific data
  • Background in multi-step workflows or agent-based systems
  • Experience evaluating or benchmarking ML/AI systems

Why This Role:

  • Work at the intersection of AI + science + real-world impact
  • Build systems that go beyond chat — AI that reasons and acts
  • Collaborate in a deeply cross-functional, high-calibre team
  • Your work directly contributes to discovering new medicines
