We are looking for a Lab Technician to support sample processing and production-scale laboratory operations. This role sits within a fast-paced startup environment and is ideal for someone looking to gain broad exposure across wet lab workflows, automation systems, and high-throughput genomics operations.

  • Perform sample preparation, DNA extraction, and molecular biology workflows
  • Assist with day-to-day wet lab operations and laboratory organisation
  • Work with automation systems and laboratory equipment
  • Follow and help improve laboratory SOPs and operational processes
  • Support scaling of laboratory throughput and production workflows
  • Collaborate closely with the wider production and scientific teams in a high-growth environment

Approximately 1 year of laboratory experience in academia or industry

Background in molecular biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, chemistry, or a related discipline

Comfortable working in a practical, hands-on laboratory role

Interest in laboratory automation and operational workflows

Experience working in high-throughput laboratory environments

Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or laboratory process optimisation principles

Interest in AI-driven biology or computational biology

Experience from leading genomics or life sciences institutes such as Wellcome Sanger Institute
