About us... Connected to Gatwick South terminal, Hilton London Gatwick has 821 bedrooms and an exciting selection of restaurants and bars, including a Japanese Steakhouse. The hotel has a fitness centre and 23 meeting rooms that can host large conferences.

A bit about what you will do... Painters and decorators in our team enhance the aesthetic appeal of our hotel by applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to our interior and exterior surfaces.

  • Delivering high quality painting and decorating.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and smoothing them appropriately.
  • Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, doors, and other surfaces.
  • Install and remove wallpaper, borders, and decorative elements.
  • Repair and maintain surfaces, including patching holes, replacing drywall, and addressing other imperfections.
  • Removal and installation of silicone sealed edges to bathrooms.
  • Other duties when required to assist with the Engineering team.

More about you... Proficiency in various painting techniques and application methods. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent time management skills. Strong attention to detail and a creative eye for colour matching and design. Knowledge of safety practices and procedures related to painting and decorating. Physical stamina and ability to work at heights or in confined spaces when necessary. Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with guests. Extremely flexible approach and working hard to avoid disrupting our guests. Experience in a similar role within a 4-star hotel is a significant advantage.
