About us: Connected to Gatwick South terminal, Hilton London Gatwick has 821 bedrooms and an exciting selection of restaurants and bars, including a Japanese Steakhouse. The hotel has a fitness centre and 23 meeting rooms that can host large conferences.
A bit about what you will do:
- The Assistant Financial Controller will support the finance department and maintain all effective controls and associated management reporting for the Hotel.
- Ensure the Profit & Loss month end reporting pack is produced on time, with all accounts accurately reviewed and reconciled.
- Reconcile all Balance Sheet Control Accounts monthly.
- Review existing policies & controls, develop and implement best practice financial accounting and added value control procedures.
- Work alongside the Finance Controller, General Manager and Hotel Heads of Department to provide full and accurate forecasts and budget proposals.
- Assist Heads of the Department to improve their financial awareness.
- Liaise and co-operate with Internal Audit and all External Audit bodies.
- Complete any and all other ad hoc duties that may be required, as directed by the Financial Controller.

- Strong communication skills with a high standard of written and spoken English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Experience in a similar role within a 4-star hotel is a significant advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is required.
