Your Role at a Glance:
As the Office Manager, you will oversee day-to-day office operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You’ll be the go-to person for office management matters, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with industry standards. If you thrive on variety, enjoy juggling multiple responsibilities, and take pride in creating a well-organised, welcoming workspace — this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Front of House & Administration: Be the face of the office: greet visitors, manage calls, and handle enquiries. Coordinate travel arrangements, book meetings, and manage office calendars. Prepare for board and management meetings, including minute-taking and distribution.
- Operations & Compliance: Develop and implement standard operating procedures. Manage the process and renewal of accreditations (ISO, BALI, CHAS, LI, Constructionline). Maintain supplier and asset records, working closely with the finance team for accurate reporting.
- Facilities & Fleet Management: Liaise with landlords, service providers, and maintenance teams. Ensure the office meets health & safety requirements, manage accident logs, and handle RIDDOR reporting. Oversee fleet management, including servicing, insurance, and claims.
- Company Culture & Brand: Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to maintain brand guidelines. Organise team-building activities, social events, and celebrations. Manage uniform and branded collateral stock.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in office management or administration.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Experience managing accreditations (e.g. ISO) and compliance processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- IT-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office software.
- A proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for detail.
- Experience in the construction or related industry (desirable but not essential).
