Location: Mobile – covering Kent & South London
Contract Type: Permanent
Salary: £29,000 – £30,172 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday–Friday
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Gardener Team Leader to take responsibility for the care and development of our cemeteries and plots across Kent and South London. This mobile role is hands-on and varied, ensuring that our sites are maintained to the highest horticultural standards, with a strong focus on sustainability and biodiversity.
You’ll lead by example—carrying out day-to-day tasks such as planting, pruning, and seasonal care, as well as overseeing larger projects. Alongside this, you’ll supervise a team of gardeners, providing training, setting clear objectives, and inspiring them with your passion for horticulture. The role also includes managing contractors, ensuring that all work meets required standards.
What You’ll Need

RHS Level 2 in Horticulture (or equivalent)

Strong background in horticulture or grounds maintenance

Experience leading or supervising a team

Knowledge of health & safety practices

Basic IT skills and confidence with digital tools

Full UK manual driving licence (essential)
