Position: Landscape Operative

Reports To: Lead Landscaper

Location: Various sites across the South of England with main office located in Basingstoke

Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent (subject to probation)

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience and qualifications (PAYE: £27,000 - £32,000; CIS: £140 - £170 per day)

About the Company: Landscape Construction Group Ltd is a specialist commercial landscaping and grounds maintenance contractor delivering high-quality external works for residential developers, commercial clients, local authorities, hotels, schools and private clients.

Role Overview: Assist with the delivery of landscape construction projects, working safely and efficiently as part of a team. Assist skilled landscapers in carrying out soft and hard landscaping activities such as planting, paving and soil preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading materials
  • Assisting with paving, edging and fencing installation
  • Topsoil preparation and grading
  • Planting, turfing and seeding
  • Operating hand tools safely
  • Maintaining clean and safe work areas
  • Assisting plant operators and skilled landscapers

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • Work in accordance with company Health & Safety policies.
  • Follow company RAMS, PPE requirements and environmental procedures.

Essential Requirements:

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Physical fitness and ability to work outdoors
  • Team working capability
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Valid green CSCS Labourers card (ROLO)
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Desirable Qualifications:

  • First Aid training
  • Manual Handling training
  • Previous landscaping or construction experience
