We are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (Category CE) Drivers to join our client based in Grays, Essex on an ongoing ad hoc basis., Your main duties will involve collecting shipping containers from Tilbury and Purfleet ports and delivering them to the client's site. The work consists of short-distance runs, typically completing around 5 container movements per shift. This is a straightforward driving role with no heavy manual handling.
Responsibilities
- Collecting and delivering containers safely and efficiently.
- Coupling and uncoupling trailers.
- Carrying out daily vehicle and trailer safety checks.
- Completing all relevant paperwork and following health and safety procedures.
Previous container experience is desirable but not essential, as full site training will be provided.
Requirements
- A valid Category CE (Class 1) Driving Licence with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
- Be 25 years of age or over (insurance requirement).
- A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only).
- Good understanding of UK driving regulations.
- A professional and reliable attitude.
- A good level of physical fitness.

- Monday to Friday - Days £17.00 - £18.50 per hour
- Monday to Friday - Nights £18.00 - £19.50 per hour
