We are currently recruiting for a Gardener to join a growing and supportive team delivering high-quality grounds maintenance services across the Waltham Abbey and Epping region.
Salary: Starting from £27,700 per annum
Contract: Full-time
Location: Waltham Abbey, with travel across the Epping area
Benefits:
- Performance-related bonus of up to 15% of salary

About the Role:
As a Gardener, you will carry out a wide range of gardening and grounds maintenance tasks, delivering a high-quality service to customers and stakeholders. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in their work.
Key Responsibilities:
- General grounds maintenance including grass cutting, hedge trimming, pruning and weeding
- Carrying out horticultural tasks and chemical applications where required
- Operating and maintaining tools, machinery, and vehicles
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with health & safety guidelines
- Delivering high standards of work and meeting performance targets
- Supporting team members and contributing to a positive working environment
What We're Looking For:
- A positive, reliable and hardworking attitude
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Good communication skills and a professional approach
- Strong timekeeping and ability to follow instructions
- Physically fit and capable of manual work
- Full clean UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Previous grounds maintenance or gardening experience
- Knowledge of gardening machinery (mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters, etc.)
- PA1 & PA6 or other horticultural qualifications
- Basic IT skills (emails, mobile devices)
- Experience with ride-on mowers (e.g. Ransomes Highway 3)
- Soft landscaping experience (planting, etc.)
A DBS check will be required for this role.
