About the Role
We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking Landscape Operative / Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team working across sites in and around Basingstoke. This is a hands-on outdoor role involving a mix of soft and hard landscaping duties. You will work as part of a team delivering high-quality external works on residential and commercial sites. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and is looking to build a long-term career in landscaping or construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general landscaping and grounds maintenance duties across multiple sites.
- Assist with hard landscaping works including paving, edging and fencing.
- Undertake soft landscaping tasks such as planting, turfing and soil preparation.
- Load and unload materials and equipment safely.
- Operate hand tools and small plant equipment where required.
- Ensure sites are kept clean, tidy and safe at all times.
- Work collaboratively with other team members and follow site instructions.
- Adhere to all health & safety procedures and company guidelines.
Requirements
- Previous landscaping or construction experience (preferred but not essential).
- Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
- Reliable, punctual and a good team player.
- Valid UK driving licence (preferred).
- Right to work in the UK.
