- PAYE: £45,000 – £54,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
- CIS: £240 – £310 per day
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Lead Landscaper to lead landscape construction projects across the South of England. You will supervise site teams, ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard, and work closely with Project Managers to deliver projects on time and within specification. This role is ideal for someone with extensive hard and soft landscaping experience, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise landscape operatives and labourers on site.
- Carry out and oversee hard and soft landscaping works including paving, edging, fencing, drainage, planting, turfing, topsoil preparation and setting out from drawings.
- Operate and supervise the safe use of plant, machinery and hand tools.
- Plan daily workloads and coordinate labour, materials and equipment.
- Complete quality inspections and maintain accurate site records.
- Liaise professionally with clients, subcontractors and Project Managers.
- Mentor and train junior team members.
- Ensure all works are completed in line with Health & Safety legislation, RAMS and environmental standards.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 6 years' experience in landscape construction.
- Strong knowledge of both hard and soft landscaping.
- Valid CSCS/LISS Skilled Worker Card with NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
- Ability to read technical drawings and manage work programmes.
- Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence and the right to work in the UK.
Desirable Qualifications
- Gold CSCS Supervisor Card.
- SSSTS or SMSTS.
- First Aid at Work.
- CPCS or NPORS plant qualifications.
- CAT & Genny training.
