We are currently recruiting for an Experienced Gardener to join a growing grounds maintenance team based in the Stratford area. This is a permanent role offering a salary of £28,000 per year, working within a supportive, team-focused environment.

Our client is an established and fast-growing UK provider of integrated grounds maintenance and green space management services. Due to continued expansion, they are now looking to strengthen their horticultural teams across multiple sites in the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out a full range of grounds maintenance and horticultural duties
  • Using hand tools and powered equipment such as hedge cutters, strimmers, and mowers
  • Planting, pruning, and maintaining shrubs, flower beds, and seasonal displays
  • Supporting overall site presentation and quality standards
  • Working to scheduled tasks and customer expectations
  • Reporting any site issues or improvement opportunities
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in grounds maintenance / horticulture is essential
  • Ability to confidently use horticultural machinery and tools
  • Strong understanding of plants, shrubs, and general garden maintenance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good awareness of health & safety procedures on site
  • Full UK driving licence is required - candidates without a licence will not be considered
  • Candidates without relevant experience will not be considered
Desirable (not essential):
  • PA1 & PA6 spraying certificates
  • Ride-on mower experience
  • Formal horticulture qualification (Level 2 or equivalent)
