We require Class 1 drivers (CE) for our client in Grays, Essex. The work involves picking up containers from Tilbury/Purfleet and dropping them to the site. There will be short journeys, with around 5 drops a day. No hard work involved, just coupling & uncoupling the trailers and doing all the necessary safety checks. Class 1 Containers experience is ideal but not mandatory as they provide training on the site. The driver will have to pass an induction. Payment for the induction day will only be made after the driver has completed their fifth shift at the company.
Candidate Requirements
- Category CE Licence Holder with at least 2 years of experience
- Aged 25 or older (Insurance Restriction)
- Have Full CPC
- Have a Digi card
- Maximum 6 Endorsement Points (minor traffic offences only)
- Be physically fit (the work may involve lifting and moving of heavy items)
Hours of Work
- Hours: between 10 hours per shift
- Days and nights: Monday to Sunday
- Day shifts start time 6:00 a.m.
- Night shifts start time 18:00 pm
- Ongoing, Ad hoc bookings only – not a permanent position
Pay
You will be paid weekly, every Friday directly to your bank account PAYE.
- Monday to Friday day £17 – £18.50
- Monday to Friday nights £18 – £19.50
- Weekend day shifts £18 – £19.50
- Weekend night shifts £19 – £20.50
