We are seeking a meticulous and analytical Estimator to join our manufacturing team. You will play a crucial role in the pre-production phase by assessing project requirements, gathering data, and producing accurate cost estimates. You will work with product specifications, project managers, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed within budget. Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Analysis: Evaluate product specifications and production processes to determine cost estimates.
  • Cost Estimation: Calculate project costs, including materials, labour, equipment, and overhead.
  • Bid Preparation: Prepare accurate and competitive bids for manufacturing projects.
  • Supplier Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Project Management: Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables.
  • Documentation: Maintain records of estimates and bids.
  • Communication: Ensure clear communication with project managers, clients, and suppliers.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and advancements.

To succeed in this role, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Relevant qualification in Design and/or Engineering or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as an Estimator ideally in a manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
