The Senior IT Manager in the School of Clinical Medicine will commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should hold a recognised Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or other related disciplines with at least 10 years’ relevant work experience including a track record of successful solution implementation in IT. A strong understanding of Learning Management Systems as well as common teaching and learning tools, and profound knowledge of Frontend and Backend Programming, data privacy protection, and security standards are expected. Applicants should possess demonstrated leadership and team management skills, and excellent stakeholder engagement abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop IT strategies to facilitate the delivery of the School’s teaching and learning initiatives.
- Enhance operational readiness and efficiency, and maintain existing systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to collect and analyse different users’ requirements.
- Translate user requirements into technical specifications and determine the feasibility of proposed solutions.
- Conduct user acceptance testing.
- Engage and oversee vendors for certain projects to ensure quality delivery of products.
