Supports project teams and works on a variety of projects in various stages of design and construction. Performs design and technical tasks requiring application of standard techniques and knowledge while working under general supervision. Shows an interest and dedication in acquiring new skills and greater understanding of job expectations.
Responsibilities
- Modifies or creates documents and drawings, applying standard architectural techniques and procedures as assigned under direction.
- Performs routine architectural assignments with limited technical responsibility.
- Assists with production of design specifications.
- May assist in preparing schedules and processing of consultant’s drawings and samples.
- Participates in communication with other disciplines, vendors and contractors to incorporate information into project requirements.
- Participates in team meetings to discuss project issues, technical issues and coordination with other disciplines.
- Attends on-site visits, field reviews and client and/or project meetings as appropriate.
- May be responsible for preparing meeting minutes for consultant coordination meetings.
Qualifications
- Accredited professional degree in Architectural Technology or related training or experience.
- May be on the path to CIAT Registration.
- Typically with 0 - 5 years of experience.
- Proficiency in Revit preferred.
- Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks and 3D modeling software (including Rhino and Grasshopper) preferred.
- Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup and InDesign graphic software preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of sustainability and integrated design guidelines.
- Working knowledge of building regulations and statutory requirements.
