A highly regarded national law firm is looking to recruit an Employment Associate or Senior Associate to join its growing Employment team. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative and well-established practice advising a broad range of clients on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. The team works closely with businesses across a variety of sectors, handling high-quality advisory, tribunal and strategic HR work.

The role would suit a lawyer looking for strong quality work, genuine flexibility and a supportive team environment with clear progression opportunities.

The Role

  • You will advise clients on a wide range of employment law matters including:
    • Day-to-day employment advisory work
    • Disciplinary, grievance and performance management matters
    • Employment Tribunal claims and litigation
    • Redundancy and restructuring projects
    • TUPE advice
    • Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies and settlement agreements
    • Senior exits and sensitive employee relations matters
    • Supporting corporate transactions from an employment perspective
    • Business development and client relationship management

The role offers a strong mix of contentious, non-contentious and advisory work, with exposure to well-known clients and complex matters.

Candidate Requirements

  • Applications are welcomed from solicitors with:
    • Approximately 2–6 years' PQE in Employment law
    • Strong technical employment law knowledge
    • Experience managing a varied caseload
    • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
    • A commercial and pragmatic approach
    • An interest in business development and team collaboration

Candidates from regional, national or City firms will all be considered.
