5-8 PQE | Corporate M&A | Hybrid Working
HJM Recruitment is working with a well regarded national law firm that is looking to appoint a senior corporate associate into its Cardiff office.
The team has an established presence in the Welsh corporate market and advises businesses, investors and shareholders on a range of transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, private equity investments and corporate restructurings.
They're looking for someone who can take the lead on transactions, build relationships with clients and play an active part in the development of the team.
What does the role involve?
- Leading on corporate transactions, particularly private company M&A.
- Advising on private equity investments, joint ventures and reorganisations.
- Working with a mix of regional and national clients, with exposure to cross-border matters.
- Managing client relationships and getting involved in business development.
- Supporting junior solicitors and contributing to the wider team's development.
Ideally, you'll have around 5-8 years PQE and a strong background in corporate transactional work, gained at a recognised commercial law firm.
You'll be comfortable managing M&A transactions, dealing directly with clients and taking responsibility for matters from start to finish. Experience across private equity or other investment transactions would be useful, as would an interest in developing client relationships and mentoring more junior lawyers.
What's on offer?
- An established Corporate team with a strong reputation in Cardiff.
- A broad mix of M&A, investment and advisory work.
- The opportunity to take on significant responsibility for transactions and clients.
- Exposure to larger national and cross-border matters.
- Hybrid working, typically three days in the Cardiff office.
- Competitive salary and a clear route for further progression.
