AI Talent Consultant - HJL Consulting

Location: Cambridge / Europe (travel to clients)

Type: Full-time

About HJL

HJL Consulting is a specialist consulting firm focused on AI and technology. We work with a focused set of clients in AI native startups, helping them find & hire top level technical and go-to-market talent, conduct GTM strategy and operations, executive search and providing all manner of services that can help some of Europe's rapidly growing startups. We are scaling quickly, and these next hires we make will be central to that.

The Role

You will be involved in all aspects of our business. You will resource and own client relationships end-to-end - from first conversation through to successful placement and ongoing partnership. You will spend time understanding what clients are building, developing a sharp view on the talent market, and delivering consistently at a high standard. Travel to clients across Europe is part of the role. We prefer to build relationships in person. There is real room to grow here. As the business grows, so does your scope - in the clients you manage, the markets you cover, and how you contribute to how HJL operates.

What we are looking for:

  • A background in customer facing roles: sales, recruitment, business development, hospitality - anything that shows you are comfortable owning a relationship and driving it forward
  • High initiative - you are self-directed and do not need a lot of hand-holding to figure out what needs to be done
  • Genuine interest in AI and technology - you follow the space and want to build real expertise in it
  • Prior professional experience is not required. What matters more is that you are sharp, commercially minded, and motivated to build something big.

Apply if you think this is relevant for you.
