Assistant Quantity Surveyor
HJH Commercial Consultants are an award-winning consultancy that offers a wide range of Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management services.
We operate across the UK and specialise in bulk earthworks, drainage, civil engineering, utilities, fibre, streetscapes and renewable energy.
We have a niche team of Quantity Surveyors and a varied client base including large tier 1 contractors through to small-medium sub-contractors.
Experience / Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years Quantity Surveying experience within a civil engineering / utility environment.
We would also consider an experienced commercial assistant looking to take the next step in their career.
- Knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts.
- Bsc Quantity Surveying Degree / HNC desirable however not essential.
- Driving License and able to travel across the North West.

- Prepare cost plans and tender documents
- Managing subcontractor accounts and payments
- Valuations
- Submitting payment claims
- Client meetings
- Provide commercial expertise and guidance
- Support and mentoring from a Senior QS
