HFG are working with a well-established insurance organisation that is looking to appoint a Financial Reporting Accountant to support its Luxembourg entity. The role is based in London, but has a strong international focus and requires hands-on experience with Lux GAAP and CAA regulatory reporting. This is a great opportunity for an accountant in London who already has exposure to Luxembourg reporting and is looking for a specialist role within a well-structured finance function.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of statutory financial statements under Luxembourg GAAP
- Delivery of CAA regulatory reporting and related submissions
- Ensuring ongoing compliance with Luxembourg accounting and regulatory requirements
- Acting as a key point of contact for external auditors, regulators, and advisors
- Supporting year-end audit processes and regulatory reviews
- Improving reporting processes, controls, and documentation
- Supporting ad-hoc financial and regulatory projects as required
Candidate Profile
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent)
- Proven experience preparing accounts under Lux GAAP
- Exposure to CAA regulatory reporting (insurance or reinsurance background preferred)
- Strong understanding of Luxembourg statutory and regulatory frameworks
- Experience working with auditors and regulatory bodies
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
- Confident communicator, comfortable working with stakeholders across locations
Desirable Experience
- Background in insurance, reinsurance, or broader financial services
- Solvency II reporting exposure
- Experience working in an international or group environment
