Role Overview

As a Commercial Heating Engineer, you will complete planned preventative maintenance tasks, emergency reactive calls and remedial tasks to a high standard across a wide client portfolio throughout Northern Ireland. You will act as a company representative to ensure company values and standards are always adhered to.

What you'll do

  • Carry out planned maintenance, response and remedial action to appliances and pipework in line with contract specification, industry guidelines and association with the company H&S policies.
  • Confidence and knowledge in carrying out Mechanical works within a Commercial/Industrial setting including Hospitals, Factories, Colleges, Schools, Public and Buildings.
  • Ensure timely submission of all service reports, time sheets and certification.
  • Be part of an On Call Rota on a rotational basis.
  • To be able to work within a team environment including alongside other contractors and disciplines.
  • Ensure that all tasks are completed within the contractual time scales.
  • Working safely in line with Health and Safety procedures.
  • Basic electrical knowledge of mechanical systems.
  • Any other reasonable duties required depending on the needs of the business.

What you'll bring

As a Commercial Heating Engineer your main skills and experience will include:

  • A suitably qualified mechanical discipline
  • Relevant Commercial Gas qualifications and/or OFTEC
  • Experience of working on a broad range of boilers, burners and Pumps
  • Sound knowledge of domestic/commercial appliances.
  • Excellent fault-finding and repair skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • A solid understanding of administration procedures
  • Excellent attitude and approach to work
  • An ability to be open, honest and be able to work as part of a team
  • Excellent customer care and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to quality and attention to detail
