Rosewood Bespoke Joinery (part of the H&J Martin Group within the Lagan Specialist Contracting Group) is now recruiting a Technical Designer (Joinery).
Location: Cookstown, Northern Ireland

Role Overview
Rosewood Bespoke Joinery requires a detail-oriented and technically skilled Joinery Designer with technical experience in translating production-ready drawings into manufacturing documentation. The ideal candidate should be proficient in breaking down bespoke joinery designs, performing technical feasibility checks and preparing cutting lists. This role will require the use of both software and traditional means of calculation to support efficient workshop production. This role may also suit a workshop joiner who wants to make the transition from workshop into a design team.
Required Key Skills
- Technical Joinery Design knowledge
- Understanding of Production Drawings (Both digital & paper)
- Creation of Cutting Lists & Material Schedules
- Able to run Technical Feasibility Checks
- Good knowledge of Bespoke Furniture & Cabinetry
- Able to produce Manufacturing Documentation
- Knowledge or desire to learn CAD Software (AutoCAD 3D - iMos)
- Be comfortable in Workshop Coordination
- Understand Joinery Detailing
- Have good knowledge of Materials & Hardware
- Understand CNC Preparation
- Understand Quality Control
- Computer Proficiency
The ideal candidate would be experienced in using a computer with experience in any of the following software packages:
- AutoCAD preferable
- iMos (iX CAD) preferable
- SketchUp
- SolidWorks
- Cabinet Vision
- Microsoft Office
- Adobe Acrobat
For transitioning joiners, a solid understanding of computers and software is beneficial, with training available in the critical software packages.
