The successful candidate will complete project works, reactive response and planned maintenance services to a wide variety of public and private sector clients throughout Northern Ireland.
What you'll do:
- Responsible for full installation of fire alarm systems, travelling to customer locations, installing, programming and commissioning systems in compliance with current relevant standards.
- Respond to reactive fault calls, troubleshooting faulty systems to reach an accurate diagnosis enabling repairs to achieve a functioning and compliant system.
- Perform planned maintenance services to Fire Alarms, checking systems to confirm they are fit for purpose and anticipating actions to reduce unplanned fault callouts.
- Complete necessary paperwork, noting all work performed, materials used and any further action necessary to achieve a compliant system.
- Provide 24 hour call-out cover on a rota basis.
- Carry out any other job specific duties as deemed appropriate.
What you'll bring:
Essential Criteria:
- Experience in the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintaining of fire detection and life safety systems to applicable British and European Standards.
- Conversant with the products and systems installed and their limitations.
- Ability to operate PC software packages used for configuration and maintenance purposes.
- Knowledge of relevant Fire Alarm and Security System Standards.
- Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills.

- Ability to work creatively and innovatively with customers.
- Ability to form good working relationships with colleagues, customers and outside bodies.
- Ability to understand and disseminate specifications and technical drawings.
