We are recruiting for an experienced Design Manager to join a major energy infrastructure business delivering complex capital programmes across the UK. This role will focus on leading and coordinating end-to-end design across major built environment projects, working closely with internal teams, design houses, consultants, and supply chain partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading design strategy across all project phases
- Coordinating architects, engineers, consultants, and specialist suppliers
- Managing design quality, schedules, risk, and budget control
- Supporting BIM, Digital Twins, AutoCAD, Revit, and integrated delivery tools
- Reporting design progress to senior leadership and programme directors
Requirements
- Proven Design Manager experience on major capital projects
- Background in complex built environment or infrastructure‑led programmes
- Strong understanding of RIBA Plan of Work
- Experience within design-and-build delivery models
- Strong technical, stakeholder management, and communication skills
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or similar
