This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Principal Designer (CDM) to lead health and safety compliance across complex construction projects, embedding safety-by-design principles throughout pre-construction and delivery.
What you’ll be doing:
- Acting as Principal Designer under CDM 2015, planning, managing, and coordinating health & safety during the pre-construction phase to ensure full legal compliance.
- Leading design risk management activities, including HAZID reviews, risk elimination and mitigation, and ensuring designers meet their CDM duties.
- Coordinating closely with Principal Contractors, designers, engineers, and clients to embed safety throughout design and construction phases.
- Advising clients on their CDM responsibilities, maintaining robust compliance documentation, and promoting a strong, proactive safety culture.
