HiveMQ's Vision for this Role
As a member of the HiveMQ Intelligence team, you'll design, develop, and operate the platform that turns industrial data into smarter operations. We follow agile principles and believe that ruthless automation and the smart use of Claude Code and other AI tools let us move fast while continuously meriting the trust our customers place in us.
You Will
- Help our customers unlock AI for their factories, turning fragmented industrial data into a Unified Namespace that powers real‑time operations from edge to cloud.
- Build and evolve genuinely complex frontends, including the visual graph editing surface (xyflow + elkjs on top of Chakra) where customers model, discover, and govern their industrial data.
- Deal with the hard edges of real‑time and distributed system behavior at scale: extending event sourcing, navigating on‑premise to serverless deployment setups, handling gRPC observer reconnection, job status polling, gateway agent sessions, and more.
- Take ownership of features end to end, including UX and product decisions.
You Have
- 3+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience with event‑driven architectures and resilient inter‑service communication (JVM experience is a plus).
- Deep knowledge of React and reactive state management, ideally including the TanStack ecosystem (Router, Query, Form, Table).
- Production experience building and operating cloud‑native systems, ideally on AWS.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate effectively across teams.
What Would Set You Apart
- Experience with product analytics and experimentation: defining robust KPIs in Mixpanel or GA, running A/B tests, and working with feature toggles such as LaunchDarkly.
- Familiarity with Auth0, cookie‑based session handling, and CORS edge cases for cross‑origin SPAs or microfrontend architectures.
- Experience with codegen‑heavy build pipelines (OpenAPI, ANTLR, or similar).
- A proven track record with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) and GitOps tooling such as ArgoCD and Helm.
